So, the Appellate Court has handed down its decision. We will dive more deeply into this, but just wanted you all to have the case at your fingertips. Essentially, the Court upheld the lower court’s decision that the 29 cent fee was actually a tax, but denied the refund of the illegally obtained funds. This is akin to someone robbing a bank, getting caught, but gets to keep the money. I cannot WTF!? more heartily.
